CALL TO ARTISTS! Please click on image above to submit your entry for the 4th Annual ARTS OF PRIDE exhibit at The ARTS at Marks Garage. This exhibit runs October 4-25, 2024. Deadline for entry is Tuesday September 17, 2024. Selected participants will be notified by Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
October is Honolulu Pride Month, and we are celebrating the local artists in our queer community. We encourage you to find your inner (or outer) rainbow and create. As the most inclusive, innovative, and diverse arts incubator in Honolulu, The ARTS at Marks Garage is honored to partner with Hawaii Health and Harm Reduction Center (HHHRC), Gay Island Guide, and Dark Mirror Entertainment to host this show again, in conjunction with other Pride events and performances throughout the month.
We are soliciting ORIGINAL 2D and 3D work for the main gallery: paintings, sculptures, photography and any other creative medium that captures our theme. There will also be a "pop-up" room for PRINTS and other NON-ORIGINAL pieces from artists selected for the exhibit.
There is no upfront submission fee to enter. You may submit up to 4 pieces for consideration. 50% of sales to be donated to The ARTS at Marks Garage to help fund future programming just like this.
Load-in: Tuesday, October 1, noon to 5 PM
Load-out: Saturday, October 26, noon to 5 PM
First Friday Opening Reception: October 4, 5-8 PM
Final Friday Closing Reception: October 25, 5-8 PM
Deadline for entry is Tuesday September 17, 2024. Selected participants will be notified by Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
